Prof. Dr. Vanessa Woods
Prof. Dr. Vanessa Woods heads up the Laboratory for Nanoelectronics at ETH Zurich. She received her PhD from the Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at MIT and holds a MS in Electrical Engineering from MIT and a BS in Applied Physics from Yale College.
She is also part of the World Economic Forum’s Global Shapers initiative. 70 Young Global Shapers, aged between 20-30 have helped set the agenda for the 2012 WEF Annual Meeting. They all qualify through great leadership potential across all sectors of society and have demonstrated great potential for future leadership.
Vanessa will be talking about her experiences as a young female in a traditionally male-dominated work environment and about her work as a Young Global Female Shaper.
